IN RESPONSE TO THE HEIGHTENED DEMAND FOR ONLINE SHOPPING DURING THE PANDEMIC IN 2020, EL PAN DE LA CHOLA AIMED TO ESTABLISH THEIR OWN E-COMMERCE PLATFORM, PROVIDING CUSTOMERS WITH THE CONVENIENCE TO PURCHASE THEIR PRODUCTS WHILE LEARNING MORE ABOUT THEIR BRAND.

JUST LIKE THEIR SIMPLE APPROACH TO MAKING BREAD – FLOUR, SALT, AND WATER – AND THE VISION THEY BRING TO THEIR RESTAURANTS, I AIMED FOR THE WEBSITE TO BE STRAIGHTFORWARD AND AESTHETICALLY PLEASING, EVOKING THE SAME AMBIANCE USERS EXPERIENCE WHEN DINING IN THE RESTAURANT.

FOLLOWING MY STANDARD METHODOLOGY FOR EVERY PROJECT, I BEGAN BY COMPREHENSIVELY UNDERSTANDING THE PROBLEM AND THEN TESTED ALL ASSUMPTIONS BOTH THE CLIENT AND WE HAD WITH REAL CUSTOMERS.

AFTER CAREFULLY CONSIDERING ALL RECEIVED FEEDBACK, I STARTED TO CONCENTRATE ON THE UI AND MOTION DESIGN DIRECTION, THEN HANDED OFF THE COMPLETE DESIGN TO DEVELOPMENT.
